Hello, I’m Kara.
Buckle up, it’s a mixed bag.
Someone once called me a Swiss Army knife because I seem to bring the right tool at the right time. As a recovering high performer, I’ve grown fond of the permission to be many things at once. I’m learning that multi-hyphenate isn’t an exception. It’s the new normal.
I want to begin by introducing myself through this video, crafted and curated by some very lovely humans. Each time I return to it, I’m reminded of the narratives that ground me and that I hope to explore here: creativity and design, community and care, nature and people, living and leading with intention.
Why this. Why now.
I’m deeply curious about tensions — the both/ands of life we’re asked to live inside.
As a designer, I’m especially curious about the future of creativity and design: how we keep them human, lived, and rooted in partnership with Nature as technology reshapes our industry and our world.
Here, I want to explore how creativity might regenerate rather than extract. How leadership might move beyond management toward stewardship. How we might continue to make, write, and act with the humility of being one species among many.
I’m increasingly convinced that we don’t need to be faster or sleeker but truer.
This is personal. Everything I do as a designer, guide, and creative strategist is rooted in a longing for work that regenerates, for leadership that grows from the soil rather than the summit, and for creativity that becomes a form of care.
In my work today, I live inside constant tensions. This space is my permission to fumble more freely, think more honestly, and have a little more fun along the way.

Because you’re drawn to leadership that listens.
Because you want a design ethos rooted in life, not just AI and products.
Because something here might spark what you didn’t yet know you needed.

It’s a mixed bag — and it may change tomorrow.
But for now, let’s begin.
